Usage
Stove Top Cooking Rinse rice in a fine-mesh sieve under cold running water Pour water into a large saucepan with tight-fitting lid and bring to the boil Add salt and optional margarine/butter Add rice to the boiling water and stir once, bringing back to the boil Cover the pot and reduce heat to lowest setting Simmer for 18-20 minutes until cooked Remove from heat and allow to steam for 5 minutes Fluff with a fork and serve Microwave Cooking Rinse rice in a fine-mesh sieve under cold running water Combine rice, water, salt and optional margarine/butter in a microwave-safe dish Microwave uncovered on high power until the rice is tender and all water absorbed – 15-18 minutes Allow to stand for 5 minutes Fluff with a fork and serve
