Usage
250ml (1 cup) of tastic soft and absorbing long grain white rice, uncooked 1.5 litres (6 cups) water. 3 – 5ml (0.5 – 1 teaspoon) salt. Stovetop Soak tastic soft and absorbing long grain white rice in cold water for 15 minutes. Drain excess water and rinse lightly. Bring water and salt to the boil. Add rice. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 – 15 minutes, uncovered. Drain excess water and rinse under cold running water. Return rice to pot and cover with tight fitting lid. Steam on low heat for 5 – 10 minutes. For softer rice, add more water and cook for a further 5 minutes.
